Basel's Climate

Basel has a temporate climate, with cold dry winters and warm wet summers. Snow is common from October through to February with temperatures occasionally touching the likes of -15C to -20C. Warm spring days may be as early as early March through to early November with high temperatures in the summer occasionally in excess of 35C ot 38C. Thunderstorms with heavy rain and large hail are commonplace in summer as are heatwaves, with hot days and very warm nights.
